Dear Future Homeowners,

When we moved to the suburbs from the city we never imagined the impact this community would have on us and our growing family. Academy Heights is an amazing neighborhood and 462 Academy has the best neighbors you could find. In this neighborhood you can look forward to Friday night popsicle parties all summer, block parties, progressive dinners, a new pizza place opening up 1 block away and all weekend long playdates in the backyard. Our social lives have never been busier and it’s all thanks to the lifelong friends we have made in this community. Our neighborhood even threw me a baby shower when my second was born!

We were first drawn to this house for the location. We LOVE that it is within walking distance to both train stations. We have also spent many Saturday mornings playing soccer in the field down the street and grabbing groceries or wine in a 3 min walk is so handy.

When we saw the house, we fell in love with the porch, the open layout, and the views of South Mountain Reservation from the 3rd floor. We spend many a morning sipping tea on the front porch and the 3rd floor makes a perfect guest room for visitors. This house also gets incredible sunlight all day long. The tall ceilings and big windows really make this house bright and shiny. We also love the master bedroom windows.

We have found our backyard to be the perfect amount of space for us and we love that the back door opens right onto the patio. We often dine outside. And we spend time with the neighbors almost every weekend. Turning our backyard into one yard has been wonderful for us and our kids but you can put a fence back up if that works better for you. The neighbors are lovely and would be open to that as well.

Lastly, your parking pass for Academy is good for the entire street so you are free to drive to the train on days you are rushed or its raining. The parking pass has come in handy many times!
