We hope you love this house as much as we have. When we first saw it, we were immediately drawn to the seclusion and the natural surroundings. Once we entered, we felt transported, as if we were headed upstate for a weekend getaway. We had seen many other houses in the area, but this one stood out. We knew right away that we wanted to call it home.

While it is conveniently situated on Wyoming Avenue and within walking distance from town, we hear none of the nearby traffic. It provides both privacy and convenience. We have found it easy to leave behind any workday stress and allow ourselves to be embraced by the warmth of our surroundings.

While this home presents itself as a peaceful sanctuary, it is also the perfect place to host a dinner party or gathering. While the main living area provides plenty of room to host small and large groups, it still holds an intimate feel. We have held many parties here with guests flowing into the sunroom and then out onto the back patio.

Each season brings with it a different kind of beauty. In the spring we are able to watch the shade gardens bloom. (We have left a pair of binoculars for you on the kitchen window if you should want to watch the baby fox that play in the neighborhood.) In the summer, we spend time outside barbecuing and hosting dinners. During the fall you will be welcomed by the vibrant color of the changing leaves as you pull in the driveway. But our favorite season of all is winter. There is no better place to be curled up, watching the snow fall than in the living room sitting in front of the fire.

If you are new to the South Orange/Maplewood community then, Welcome! We moved here as strangers to the area and leave having gained a huge and diverse family. We feel blessed to have spent 16 years in this community and to have raised our daughter here.
